What should be the role of the architect in contemporary society? As the gap between the very rich and the very poor cracks wider, so do the emerging poles of architectural practice.
Scribemedia Art and Culture engaged curators Aaron Levy and William Menking in dialogue about the exhibition Into the Open in April 2009, while on display at Parsons the New School for Design. The video highlights the work of Estudio Teddy Cruz, the Spatial Information Design Lab and Laura Kurgan, Rural Studio at Auburn University, and the Edible Schoolyard/Yale Sustainable Food Project.
